Established in 2007, the Mass General and Mass General Physicians Organization Center for Quality and Safety supports the MGH and MGPO goal of creating the highest quality, safest care environment for staff and patients. The interdisciplinary team of clinicians, data analysts, researchers, project managers and informatics professionals serves as an institutional resource to further the MGH's goal of leading the nation in quality and safety.

The CQS Applied Informatics Group researches, develops, and implements analytic platforms to aid MGH and MGPO in their quality and safety goals. These platforms provide simple interfaces for hospital teams to directly interact with data, identify areas for improvement, and track the effects of quality and safety measures.

Working on a rapid development cycle with minimal overhead, they are able to shorten the cycle between identification of an opportunity and implementation of improvements.
